Working with existing maintenance staff, the apprentice will assist with daily maintenance of crushing and screening equipment, servicing of generators and smaller items of mobile plant, welding/fabrication on buckets on excavators & loading shovels and changing of parts in processing plant.
- Daily inspection of plant
- Fuelling plant
- Greasing of plant
- Changing worn parts
- Changing screen media
- General maintenance
- Servicing small items of plant, for example, generators

Requirements and prospects
- This is an outdoors working role and the candidate must be comfortable working outdoors
- Willing to learn to drive plant such as tractor, telehandler, excavator, loading shovel
- Demonstrate excellent time keeping and attendance
- Proactively commit to the course
