Progression opportunities

The Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) are the world's largest professional body for qualified Accounting Technicians and people employed in a variety of accounting and financial roles. It is also a popular route to qualified chartered status. In fact it is sponsored by the main chartered bodies (ICAEW; CIMA; ICAS; CIPFA) who work with AAT to ensure that the course meets the necessary standards and thus gains valuable exemptions from these chartered bodies.

The skills and knowledge you will gain throughout this qualification will qualify you for roles including Finance Officer, Assistant Accountant and Bookkeeper. You will also be eligible for AAT Bookkeeper (AATQB) status, giving you the option to work as a freelance bookkeeper.
