This Higher National Diploma (HND) has been designed to cater for the increasing demands of employers within the Animal Management sector. This qualification has been developed to broaden the career prospects of students and equip them with the tools to adapt to the ever-changing world of Animal Science and Care.
This is a 2 year course, with the first year being a HNC (Level 4)
and the second year being a HND (Level 5).

Course content
Students will cover a wide variety of topics, including Animal Health and welfare, Business and the Business Environment, Animal Anatomy and Physiology, British Wildlife, Anthrozoology, Breeding and Genetics, and lots more. Students also have the opportunity to undertake an independent research project, and will benefit from hands-on industry experience with an 80-hour work placement in the Animal Management sector.
Entry requirements
48 UCAS points either from A Levels or a relevant Level 3 qualification.
Students must also hold English, Maths and Science GCSEs at grade 4 or above.
Applications from adult students are also accepted and will be considered on an
individual basis, subject to previous experience within the sector.
This
programme is studied at Brooksby College.
